Belgian circa 1830, with twist iron 8in. brushed bright octagonal barrel, blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to the engraved solid top-tang, moulded nipple-boss to side of barrel, borderline engraved lock of flint form with engraved foliate detail to the pointed tail repeated on the hammer, walnut half-stock with sunken chequered panel to the grip, swollen pommel with carved border and plain domed iron butt-cap, winged iron sidenail escutcheon and probable replacement cup-ended iron ramrod
